ABOUT ADC 

 

Auckland Dance Company classes are available to all levels (including complete beginners!), abilities, ages and fitness levels throughout the year. Including kids, teens, young adults, adults, and kids at heart!

 

We know that coming to a dance class for the very first time,  returning to dance after a long while, or trying something out for your "will-my-child-like-it-or-last-for-the-whole-class?" be daunting. All of our classes are run with this in mind. We teach in a welcoming, safe, supportive environment, run at a comfortable pace with challenges thrown in to build resilience, supported by our  talented, experienced instructors and support team.

 

 

Dance for us is not just about learning a new skill, or developing and challenging yourself physically - it is something more than that. It's about feeling joy and finding other's who are doing the same! It's about passing on the passion we feel for each song that we teach, every dance that we choreograph, every performance and every class, onto each of our students, clients, faculty and supporters. In an age where our society is so digitally connected, but so disconnected personally, our classes are about providing a community, and a dance family - a place for everyone to have fun, meet great people, and be uplifted, weekly. And most of all, to be present in the moment - exerting all of that overwhelming energy that kids seem to have, at all hours of the day!  When you dance..your child can be free - all while learning a brand new skill, around other kids!
