Please ensure you have read and understood the following Terms & Conditions before signing up to any of our classes.
TERM COURSES
This performance course consists of 4 x 1 hour classes and is invite only, spanning over 4-weeks (unless otherwise specified). Our goal is to promote evolution, learning and growth; move our dancers towards (optional) performances depending on the term; work towards goals; and foster dedication and focus.
Our term courses are run on a first-in, first-served basis and places are limited. Term courses fill fast and bookings for all Auckland Dance Company classes are essential.
INJURY POLICY & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
ADC bears no responsibility for injuries sustained during class. All students and caregivers understand that they/their children are partaking in a physical activity and will take the necessary personal precautions to protect themselves from injury wherever possible. Our choreographers will do all they can to help make the classes as comfortable as possible for you, should you have injuries, these must be stated clearly prior to each class you attend.
Stretching, warming up and down is 100% recommended before and after your class begins/ends to alleviate any potential injury. Students who are unruly, causing danger to themselves or others will unfortunately not be able to participate.
CONSENT
Sometimes within classes our tutors/instructors may move or touch you to demonstrate a partnerwork move, a lift, or to direct students into the correct position or specific location/formation. By enrolling in this class you understand this. All of our instructors are police checked and experienced, and we trust them innately!
Caregivers/Students understand that this is part of being in a dance class and instructors will do what they can to ask permission first. If you do not agree or are uncomfortable with this, please tell us prior to the course beginning, but due to the nature of the classes we cannot guarantee acceptance into the course.
ADC pride ourselves in being a safe environment to be in, and all instructors have been vetted prior to their involvement with the company.
SOCIAL MEDIA, PHONES & VIDEOS All ADC classes are a phone-free zone, to allow all students to be present in each class.
ADC Choreographers and ADC HQ reserve the right to film occasionally for polishing/promotional purposes, and all videos and photography are the intellectual property of ADC. Filming and distribution of filmed choreography is prohibited. The only exception to this is in the event that photos/videos have already been shared by ADC.
NO SHOWS/ABSENCES
No-shows and class absences will not be refunded or credited. ADC believes in dedication and focus, and all students/caregivers are responsible for their own attendance and expected to maintain a high level of commitment. If you are unable to make it to a class, notification is required through our website here https://www.aucklanddance.co.nz/absences before the day or as early as possible.
COMMUNICATIONS & NOTIFICATIONS
All important class announcements are made via email (and are messaged to enrolled students/caregivers only. If their are multiple caregivers/grandparents or others taking kids to and from class, please add them to the comms for our roll records -phone number, name, and email). Please check on the day of class to see if there have been any changes (unlikely).
FEES
All payment of fees to Auckland Dance Company are final.
ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY
ADC has a zero-tolerance policy on gossip, bullying, harassment, exclusion, back-stabbing and negative discussion. If we find students to be partaking in any of this, they will be removed from class and no refunds will be given.
We are an open, loving, positive and supportive environment, and we welcome any and all peoples into our community. If you are feeling unsafe before, during or after class, please reach out to any of the ADC team members onsite or via the info@aucklanddance.co.nz, and we will support you!
PERFORMANCES
Some classes may be included in either of our shows or shoots throughout the year or have the opportunity to. Performance fees will apply for students wishing to participate in performances/events, videos, or in any of our dance showcases. Catch up sessions (if any) are a privilege (not a right), and will be issued at Management's discretion, if at all.
